We no longer need fear to activate a response system to protect us from being attacked by saber-tooth tigers. However, the fear button is still present in us and can manifest in a myriad of ways. For example: fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of death, fear of bereavement, fear of conflict, fear of abandonment, fear of relationships, fear of making mistakes, etc. The list goes on and on. What is important is that we learn to live with fear in a healthy way. Rather than letting fear overpower us, fear can be utilised as a powerful way of making healthy choices.
Our language can keep us in a state of fear that can develop into anxiety and depression. By taking responsibility of our own lives by changing our language, we can confront fear in a different way. For example, if your inner voice whispers that you cannot do something, you will most likely not be able to reach your goal. Working together, will help you to identify what you are fearful of and all of the possibilities that could go wrong. By recognising your fear and related patterns of self-sabotage that we all have, my aim is to support you to redirect fear and replacing it through choosing healthy alternatives. Choice offers self-determination, empowerment and new possibilities toward being able to accomplish your goals.
